Women's Denim Jacket

A classic trucker jacket in a light stonewash blue, cut deliberately oversized. The shoulder is dropped and the body is cut wide and slightly cropped, so it sits away from the figure and layers over a knit without pulling across the back — the opposite of a fitted western jacket.

The denim is a rigid 100% cotton with no stretch, stonewashed to soften the hand and open up the light blue tone before it reaches you. Rigid denim is the point: it holds the boxy line, and it fades along the fold lines over years into a wash that belongs to you rather than one printed at the factory.

All the traditional detailing is there and working. Two chest flap pockets close on antique silver-tone shank buttons, two welt pockets sit at the waist for your hands, the front placket runs on six matching buttons, and the back is split by a yoke with twin vertical seams. Buttoned cuffs adjust. Wear it over a tank in spring, over a knit in autumn. Machine wash cold inside out, hang dry.
